1. Important to know before you start (doctor’s clearance, pregnant etc.)
It is important to speak with your doctor and/or physiotherapist before you undertake The Duo Pilates Method as it may not be appropriate for you due to specific health issues and/or existing injuries. For example, if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, have a joint injury, spinal injury or a hernia, some of the exercises in the program will not be suitable for you. For this reason, I highly recommend that you speak with a healthcare professional before purchasing the program.

2. How will I know if I am doing the exercises correctly?
This was my main concern when I first decided to produce an online program. Pilates is all about ensuring your technique is correct when performing an exercise. Without correct form and technique, the exercise will not be effective. I want you to get the most out of The Duo Pilates Method so I created a video guide for each workout. With a timer included, you can follow me on the video and perform your workouts at the same time. Along the way I give you helpful tips on how to perform each exercise, so it is just like being in a class.
I have also provided you with an exercise guide, which includes exercise descriptions and photos of each exercise. You can refer to this whenever you are unsure how to perform an exercise.

3. How long does it take to see results from The Duo Pilates Method?
Joseph Pilates (the creator of Pilates) has a famous quote. He said ‘in 10 sessions you will feel a difference, in 20 sessions you will see a difference and in 30 sessions you will have a whole new body.’
As a Pilates Instructor for over 5 years having worked with hundreds of clients, I believe there is a lot of truth to this quote. It is around that 3 month mark that clients begin to comment on the differences in the way they look and feel.
That is why I designed The Duo Pilates Method to include a minimum of 30 workouts within a realistic time frame of 12 weeks. If you stick to the program, by the end of the 12 weeks you will have completed 36 workouts, learnt a lot about your movement and posture, formed healthy lifestyle habits and as a result, will most likely notice a difference in the way you look and feel.
4. Do I need any equipment?
To complete The Duo Pilates Method, you will need a small Pilates ball, resistance band and Pilates circle. We sell all of these items as an ‘Equipment Bundle’ which you can purchase along with The Duo Pilates Method at the checkout.
5. What if I fall off the wagon or miss a week?
That is totally fine! If you miss a week or miss a session, don’t let this put you off. Your goal is to finish the program in 12 weeks consecutively however, life sometimes gets in the way! Simply pick up where you dropped off and keep going!
Once you finish The Duo Pilates Method you will feel a great sense of achievement and can continue to adopt these workout into your weekly routine.
6. Can I do The Duo Pilates Method if I am pregnant?
As a pre and post-natal Pilates instructor I can tell you that Pilates is a great form of exercise during pregnancy as it is low impact, low intensity and you can do it throughout your entire pregnancy.
Unfortunately, many of the exercises in the program are not suitable for you, so I cannot recommend it.
It is important to get a clearance from a medical professional before you begin a fitness program. I would then recommend trying Pilates under the supervision of a pre & post natal instructor who can design a program that is specific to your needs.
7. I just had a baby; How long do I need to wait before I can begin The Duo Pilates Method?
It is always important first and foremost to get a doctor’s clearance before beginning exercise post pregnancy. Depending on the circumstances of your birth, the time period will vary. Usually you will need to wait at least 4-6 weeks before beginning any physical exercise.
Please be aware that some exercises in the program will not be suitable for you until your body has fully repaired itself. For example, if you have an abdominal separation (known as diastasis recti) some of the abdominal exercises will not be appropriate for you. I would suggest speaking with your doctor and/or physiotherapist before you consider performing the workouts in The Duo Pilates Method.
8. I have an injury that stops me from performing some of the exercises; What do I do?
If you have an injury and find an exercise uncomfortable to perform, simply switch it for an exercise that agrees with you. Each set within a workout will have 6-8 exercises so you can always choose to perform another exercise twice.
if you are not already seeing a physiotherapist or doctor about the injury, make sure that you do so before it gets any worse.
9. I have gone away for work and forgotten to take my equipment with me. Can I still do The Duo Pilates Method?
That’s fine! You can always substitute your equipment for something else (e.g. swap a band for a towel or strap) and if that isn’t possible, pick out the exercises that don’t require equipment and repeat them. Not every exercise will require you to use equipment so there will be plenty to choose from.
10. Do you offer a refund?
As soon as you purchase The Duo Pilates Method, you will receive the E-Book as an instant download. For this reason, there are no refunds on the program. However, as a Pilates Instructor for over 5 years, I can confidently say that I have delivered excellent results for my students using this exact method.

11. Do you ship the Equipment Bundle internationally?
Unfortunately, we do not ship the Equipment Bundle internationally (yet!). You can still purchase The Duo Pilates Method as it is available to download as soon as you purchase.
You will need to source a Pilates ball, resistance band and circle from a local sporting goods store or search for these items online.
Note: You will not need equipment for the first two weeks, so you have plenty of time to purchase these items!
